The 24:1 Initiative is a comprehensive community development model that will enable the success of all families and children living within the Normandy School District geography. It’s overarching goals are to:
 
  • To promote awareness of the community’s complex issues and assets, while fostering support from and creating an environment where diverse groups of people have opportunities to network and work together for sustainable community transformation.
  • Create a cradle-to-college–through-career continuum of programs and services that improve local educational outcomes and result in well-rounded citizens with the enhanced ability to take advantage of emerging 21st century opportunities.
  • Create a healthier community by addressing disparities, improving access and increasing preventive efforts.
  • To promote unified efforts that improve housing, attract more economic development and emphasize asset building, both for individuals and the communities.Read more:
